To perform in a concert in Florence means to increase one's cultural experience and maturity in a country with a profound musical tradition. Don’t miss the famous Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, which hosts annually the most important musicians and orchestras from all over the world. In the last quarter of the 16th century, the melodrama was born in Florence as a result of the efforts of a group of musicians and literacies called Camerata Dell Bardi. Florence is furthermore the birthplace of the piano, built by Bartolomeo Cristofori at the end of the 17th century for the great Medici family. Out of this musical heritage and rich tradition, Florence gives talented young musicians the opportunity to perform in places of immense historical importance and architectural beauty.
